Caitlyn Bean is the Head Trainer/Instructor at Indigo Trails Farm, where she combines her passion for competitive dressage with a deep commitment to the development and well-being of the horse. A decorated equestrian, Caitlyn has earned her Bronze and Silver medals in dressage and is currently training toward her Gold. She has trained with renowned dressage professionals, including Steffen Peters, Laura Graves, Jaimey Irwin, and JJ Tate, and continues to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her students and horses.
In addition to her competitive accomplishments, Caitlyn is deeply committed to expanding her knowledge of equine biomechanics and overall horse development. She actively studies advanced techniques through the Balance Through Movement Method, as well as courses in postural development and soft tissue release methods. By integrating these principles into her approach, Caitlyn helps horses build strength, balance, and correct movement patterns in a way that supports their long-term soundness and performance creating a holistic approach that prioritizes the horse’s physical and mental well-being while developing their potential for success in dressage.
As an FEI trainer and instructor, Caitlyn offers a unique blend of competitive experience and a thoughtful, science-backed approach to horse development. She is passionate about partnering with owners to help their horses thrive, whether the goal is to succeed in the show ring or to advance in training. Caitlyn provides full and partial training packages for boarded horses at Indigo Trails Farm, offering clients a tailored program that blends her expertise in biomechanics, postural development, and competitive dressage.
